Presented by Wilmington Chamber of Commerce

Location: Wilmington Convention Center, 10 Convention Center Drive Wilmington NC 28401T

For over 150 years, the Chamber’s Annual Meeting has been one of the region’s largest gatherings of executives, elected officials, business owners, and civic leaders. In addition to hearing from the Chamber’s President & CEO, Board Chairman, and a prominent keynote speaker, attendees get an inside look at the Chamber’s accomplishments over the past year and our vision for the future. This year, we hope you will join us for our Chamber’s 155th Annual Meeting on February 17, 2022, at the Wilmington Convention Center.

We are thrilled to announce University of North Carolina Wilmington Chancellor Jose V. Sartarelli as our Keynote Speaker.

Jose V. Sartarelli is the sixth chancellor and ninth leader of the University North Carolina Wilmington. He brings more than 35 years of professional leadership experience to UNCW. He is committed to attracting the best students, faculty, and staff to UNCW by supporting the university’s success in teaching, research, and service.

After steering the University of North Carolina Wilmington through extraordinary growth with quality, spearheading the development of innovative new degree programs, successfully navigating multiple hurricanes and a global pandemic, Chancellor Jose V. Sartarelli will be retiring effective June 30, 2022. Please join us in celebrating Chancellor Sartarelli’s successes and hear from him about what the chamber community can do to ensure future growth at the university and for all businesses.

We are also looking forward to recognizing this year’s Duke Energy Lifetime Achievement in Business Award Winner, Bob Warwick.

Warwick has played an important role as a businessman and civic leader in Wilmington for more than 50 years. While managing a successful accounting practice and counseling some of Wilmington’s most influential business leaders over three generations, he also often worked behind the scenes to support nonprofits in our community. He has served as president of the Wilmington Chamber, two terms as chair of the UNCW Board of Trustees, eight years on the University of North Carolina Board of Governors, and was past president and longtime board member of the YMCA. Most notably, he worked with other prominent businessmen to attract new businesses, including GE, DuPont, and Corning Incorporated under The Committee of 100, of which he was co-founder and chairman. The group, renamed Wilmington Business Development, continues to bring new business to the city today.

The deadline to sponsor this event is Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

Tickets are available to chamber members for $75 each and to nonmembers for $85 each.
