WHAT IS NEW?

The Network for Entrepreneurs in Wilmington (NEW) is a nurturing organization for Wilmington NC startups to connect entrepreneurs to resources so they can innovate, grow and create jobs at the coast.

With local momentum in the startup ecosystem, I have established a new entrepreneur support organization to connect the earliest of startups with the resources needed from across the region and the state. I hope NEW is the organization that achieves long-term success to make Wilmington a premier locale in North Carolina to grow a startup.

NEW holds free monthly events for a wide variety of entrepreneurs, investors, professional service providers, community supporters, students, recent graduates, Military Veterans considering entrepreneurship, recently relocated professionals, and job seekers. Attendees from the Wilmington region included New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Onslow, and Craven Counties.

A strong entrepreneur support organization is focused on serving the needs of the entrepreneurs through educational events around sales and marketing, aligning mentor options, communications through curating a frequent newsletter, and preparing the companies to attract capital with investor pitch training. Additional training is often required around the pursuit of local and federal grants.

Through NEW and previous work in the Wilmington region, founder Jim Roberts has helped entrepreneurs in a wide variety of industries from high tech mobile apps, software as a service (SAAS), medical devices, biotechnology, consumer products, and more.
